UPDATE!

Asalaamualaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu, 

It has been a few months since we have updated the blog but alhamdulilaah things have been happening behind the scenes. Our last appeal was for our sister in Morocco who is an orphan who lives alone and in terrible conditions. Alhamdulilaah you call came together and we managed to raise £522 for her, we will be updating you about her soon in shaa Allaah, please continue to make duaa for her.

Since then we were introduced to sister Fatima who was really ill subhanAllaah.She was suffering quite badly from nodules on her thyroid which had become severely infected. She was in need of an operation but couldn't afford it and again you all came together and raised £517 for her alhamdulilaah. We will be doing a blog post about her progress in shaa Allaah.

We supported a young baby (Basmah) who was undergoing life saving treatment and we received news that due to the Mercy of Allaah ta'ala then your generous donations she is now home, getting better and finally starting to have a somewhat normal life. Please remember her in your du'aa

3 weeks ago we first made an appeal for the widows & orphans organisation in Oujda (Morocco). Alhamdulilaah we sent the first set of donations that were received on the 27th June 2016 as they were need urgently to purchase food for the families. Alhamdulilaah the money donated helped provide chicken for all of the families. Here are the pictures of the food packages being donated.

AIDING OUR ORPHAN SISTER

Asalaamualaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

We are trying to raise money for this young orphan sister in Morocco, She is 23 years old and is living in quite literally a dump subhanAllaah. She has no income, no money for food or clothes or even  the most basic necessities. The place she is living in, is not fit to be a home for anyone as you can see in the pictures. The place she lives does not belong to her, it belongs to Jews who abandoned it after they left Morocco and she could be asked to leave at any point. We are trying to raise funds in order to provide her with food, clothing and other necessities in shaa Allaah, This is just a starting point bi'idnillaah, we hope to be able to send her clothing, food and other things from here aswell as support her financially each month. 

The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who sponsors an orphan, whether it is a relative of his or not, he and I will be like these two in Paradise,” and Maalik pointed with his forefinger and middle finger.

This is where you come in. Please give what you can to aid this sister through her hardship, even if it is £1. This sister literally has no one accepted the muhsineen who aid her with whatever they are able to. Even though she has nothing, she is too shy to ask for help subhanAllaah.

SUPPORTING WIDOWS AND ORPHANS IN OUJDA (MOROCCO)

Asalaamulaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu 

Alhamdulilaah we were blessed with the opportunity to help an organisation in Oujda (Morocco) that cares for widows and orphans. They help provide shelter, food, clothing and other necessities as well as teaching our sisters how to read.

We made an appeal to raise funds to help the organisation provide these services as they run solely on donations given to them by generous people. The widows and orphans are currently living in a garage as this is the only place the organisation was able to provide free of charge. However it needs a lot of work.

With the first appeal we made £62.16 was donated and sent straight away as they need to purchase some food for the families to have at iftaar. (Pictures coming soon). The other amount will be sent shortly in shaa Allaah and pictures of the receipt will be provided.

We also made an appeal to sponsor 10 orphans education, as they were unable to pay the fees (50 dirhams a month equivalent to £5)  so many of them are not able to go to school. Alhamdulilaah we exceeded the amount we originally appealed for and 12 orphans have been sponsored. May Allaah accept it from them.

NEW COMMUNITY FOOD BANK PROJECT 2015!

Asalaamualaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Bismillaah

We are hoping to start a new project, which will involve the setting up of a community food-bank to help people in need. Initially we are hoping to have two collection points; South London & East London.

Within the UK the situation has become very tough and many people go hungry and without basic necessities for many reasons. From a loss of a job or unexpected outgoing money, even those who have stable jobs are going through hardship.

Many suffer in silence or have no one to turn to for help. As Muslims it is our duty to help others & try our best to make sure our brothers and sisters don’t go hungry.

-“And they give food, in spite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to the Miskeen (the poor), the orphan, and the captive, (Saying): ‘We feed you seeking Allaah’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you...”- Soorah Insaan 76:8-9

-The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives." - Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Hadith 552

-(O Prophet!) Tell those of My servants who believe that they should establish Prayer and spend out of what We have provided them with, both secretly and openly, before there arrives the Day when there will be no bargaining, nor any mutual befriending. (14:31)

This will be an ongoing project in shaa Allaah and we are hoping to support as many brothers and sisters going through difficulty as we can. This is where YOU come in! We need your help as much as possible to make this project successful bi'idnillaah. We are collecting the following items in shaa Allaah.

EID AL-ADHA 2014!

Asalaamualaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu,

We havent posted on the blog for a while subhanAllaah due to commitments etc. However we did do a few projects that were successful due to Allaah's immense Mercy upon His servants alhamdulilaah.

For Eid al-Adha  we wanted to try and raise £500 to buy 5 sheeps to be slaughtered on Eid and have their meat distributed to the extremely poor people in a village in Morocco.

If we were unable to raise funds for 5 we hoped to raise enough for at least two in shaa Allaah so that at least we can help feed some families who really do not have anything.

The meat would go to people who have little to no food at all as well as widows and orphans.The sheep personally distributed by family members in shaa Allaah. May Allaah reward them aameen,

If you remember the winter project we done in which we provided all the essential needs to get them by(flour, oil, potato, tomato etc) they were overwhelmed with how much people wanted to help them since they don't receive any aid from anywhere else. You can read about it HERE!

Alhamdulilaah and by the mercy of Allaah we raised the money and the sheeps were slaughtered and distributed on the day of Eid! Alhamdulilaah this happened purely by the grace of Allaah. Some people were extremely generous and gave large amounts of money towards this project, I ask Allaah to grant them nothing less than Firdous and bless their families aameen.

A man asked the Prophet (alayhi salaatu wa sallaam), "O Allaah's Messenger! What kind of charity is the best?" He replied. "To give in charity when you are healthy and greedy hoping to be wealthy and afraid of becoming poor. Don't delay giving in charity till the time when you are on the death bed when you say, 'Give so much to so-and-so and so much to so-and so,' as at that time the property is not yours but it belongs to so-and-so (i.e. your inheritors)."

Sister in need of medical treatment urgently!

Asalamalaikum warahmatuAllah wabarakatuh

I am appealing on behalf of a young girl in Somalia. She has an illness that is eating her flesh away . If she doesn't get urgent medical attention she will die. There is no treatment available in her country so we are trying to raise enough to get her to either Egypt or Saudi. She has no father and her mum is helpless to do anything. Morocco Winter Project 2013 In Pictures

Who remembers our MOROCCO WINTER PROJECT 2013?

we provided extremely poor families with essentials to get them through the winter. Each package contained

1 kg of tomato
1 kg of salt
Big bag of washing powder to wash their clothes

Alhamdulilaah it helped them sooo much and they were so grateful!!

MUSLIMS GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.

We are thinking to do a FEED THE HOMELESS & NEEDY PROJECT in shaa Allaah in East London. 

We will hopefully be providing them with food to eat, small gift bags which will contain basic hygiene essentials and some dawah materials. 

We are still in the beginning stages of planning in shaa Allaah so please do make duaa Allaah places barakah in this project.

SPONSOR AN ORPHAN OR WIDOW

Asalaamu'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

We all know the virtue of looking after an orphan or widow, through various ayaat and ahadeeth. It is an act recommended by the Prophet alayhi sallatu wa sallaam and Allaah azzawajaal warns us of not feeding the orphan/poor and treating them harshly. 

☆ A man once came to the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu`alaihiwasallam, and complained that he feels hardness in his heart. The Messenger of Allah said, what translated means, "Would you like that your heart becomes soft and that you acquire what you need? Be merciful with the orphan, pat his head and feed him from what you eat. This will soften your heart, and enable you to get what you need."

[At-Tabaraanee & As-Silsilah as-Saheehah] 

☆"I and the caretaker of the orphan will enter Paradise together like this, raising (by way of illustration) his forefinger and middle finger jointly, leaving no space in between." [Saheeh al-Bukhaari]

 ☆The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “This money is fresh and sweet. Blessed is the wealth of the Muslim, from which he gives to the poor, the orphan and the wayfarer” or as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said it. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1465; Muslim, 1052). 

We have decided to start a project in which we will sponsor widows and orphans in the poor villages of Morocco every month.We will give them with a monthly income to provide them with food, clothes and medical needs in shaa Allaah.  Having traveled there and seen the conditions that some of the families live in, absolutely shocks and saddens me. A lot of families are struggling to provide day to day basics for their children and widows tend to go hungry for days if they cant provide anything for themselves and children to eat. Too often we see families too poor to pay for medicine or proper medical treatment and have to suffer with no one to offer any assistance. 

You often find that children have no suitable clothing for the winter and their parent/s are unable to provide them with any clothing due to their financial state. By Allaah seeing what the majority of these families who live in the villages go through, it would reduce you to tears subhanAllaah.

We ask for just £2 a week to be able to support these families on a monthly basis and enable them to stand on their feet and provide for their families. The continuous donations will enable us to provide them with a monthly income all year round in shaa Allaah. 

☆Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Sponsoring an orphan means taking care of his religious and worldly interests, teaching him and guiding him etc with regard to religious matters, and taking care of his food, drink, shelter and other worldly concerns. [Sharh Riyaadh al-Saaliheen, 5/113]

HELPING A YOUNG BROTHER RE-GAIN HIS EYESIGHT IN SHAA ALLAAH!

AsalaamuAlaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuhu 

Yesterday we received news that a young brother in Morocco was losing his eyesight and was in desperate need of an operation as soon as possible. However his family who live in a village are extremely poor and are unable to afford the to pay for the operation. SubhanAllaah, I personally know the family myself and am aware of their immense struggle. The young boys father lost his eyesight completely a few years ago and so can no longer provide for his family.  


We received a call from a relative of mine in Morocco, who was calling on their behalf, having heard about our charity (through the Morocco Winter Project-->READ ABOUT IT HERE- http://ar-rayyaan.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/morocco-winter-project-2013-feeding-100.html) asking if we could help them at all with the cost of the operation. 

The operation cost  is £400 and that was our goal although we were welcomed any donations which would go towards the after care and medicine in shaa Allaah.

Allaahu Akbaar within a few hours we not only managed to reach our target but we exceeded it! Alhamdulilaah!! We managed to raise £696 in a few hours alhamdulilaah! 

Its amazing how much we can achieve as an ummah once we come together for a cause. i ask Allaah azzawajaal to bless and reward everyone who shared, donated and helped us reach our target and beyond. i ask that you get nothing less than Jannahtul-Firdous. Aameen

HELP THIS SISTER CLEAR HER DEBT IN SHAA ALLAAH.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (radi Allaahu anhu) that the Prophet (sall Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"There is no day on whbbich the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says, 'O Allaah, give in compensation to the one who spends (in charity),' and the other says, 'O Allaah, destroy the one who withholds.'"  

[Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1374; Muslim, 1010]

Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa baarakatuhu.

A dear sister needs our help in shaa Allaah. She is in so much debt & struggling to pay it off.

This is the sister's situation in brief

- Her financial problems began as her husband was abroad & she could not afford to make ends meet. She also had to finance his visa fees.

- Her father became ill so she spent money looking after him.

- She had to take out multiple payday loans and borrow money off brothers and sisters just to get by & now has debt way above what she can pay back & is scared about dying with the debt on her shoulders.

Alhamdulilaah we have managed to raise £259 for her so far. Many people seem to believe that because we live in the UK that there no/little difficulty or that the benefits system enables everyone to live decently or use it as a way out of their financial problems. Wallaahi this is untrue & a misconception as the poverty is greater than we can imagine wa Allaahu must'aan. By the qadr of Allaah, the sister is now pregnant & more distressed than ever before. She is unable to get by now, has increasing debt & currently is unable to buy the necessary things for a baby. On top of this, the brothers & sisters she's loaned from are demanding their money back & some want it within the next 2/3 weeks. Subhan'Allaah wa bihamdihi - imagine the pressure she was going through already, let alone the stress on her now she's pregnant, the pressure of the demands from people for their money back & now her pregnancy.

As the sister is in urgent need of help, Ar Rayyaan Sadaqah Project has a target of making £1,500 to aid her in her current difficulty. Every single penny will be given to her - the charity will not profit at all. In fact it is you who will profit when Allaah rewards you from His Bounty & when your beloved sister makes du'aa for you. Remember the du'aa made by your brother/sister in your absence is rapidly accepted.

“The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allaah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allaah gives manifold increase to whom He wills. And Allaah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allaah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” [2:261-262] 

And remember the fitna of the grave & the day of the Qiyaamah when all we'll have is our deeds -
“O you who believe! Spend of that with which We have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession.” [2:254]

HELPING A SOON TO-BE-MUM IN SHAA ALLAAH!

AsalaamuAlaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu, 

We were informed of a young couple who are expecting their first child Allaahumma barrik but were struggling to afford things for their baby.

With bills to pay & the young brother working only part-time they were finding it difficult to make ends meet.

We decided to buy her some baby clothes (bibs, vests, sleepsuits, towels etc) and due to your generous donations we bought her a moses basket.

Sisters have been very kind enough to offer their help & support and alhamdulilaah the couple now have a pram aswell.

The sister was overwhelmed with gratitude from all the help she recieved.  Alhamdulilaah by the Mercy of Allaah azzawajaal their burden has eased a little.

THE FOOD PACKAGE PROJECT IS BACK!

Asalaamu'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu

In October 2013 we decided to help our local community here in the UK, we decided to make up food packages for brothers/sisters who we're going through hardship or struggling financially. Subhan'Allaah we were contacted by many people who require a package due to some sort of hardship. We were even approached by a non-Muslim who had heard about the food package project and wanted one. We used this opportunity to give her dawah as well help her out financially as well. I ask Allaah to guide her to the truth. Aameen

Many brothers/sisters are either too embarrassed to ask for help or have no one to ask subhan'Allaah. We as an Ummah need to remember that our brothers/sisters in the UK have rights upon us as well. We should come together and support eachother with whatever we can.

HELPING THE WIFE OF AN ASEER

AsalaamuAlaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatuhu, 

A sister I know who is a wife of an aseer was going through great hardship living away from her husband with their son and was facing great financial difficulties.  Her husband may Allaah grant him good aameen is going to be released in April (alhamdulilaah) and the sister did not have any funds to buy a plane ticket for her & her son to be with her husband, nor any money for essentials.

Alhamdulilaah due to your generous donations a sister may Allaah reward her paid for her & her sons plane ticket and with the other donations she is now able to take some money to help them along the way for a short while.

I ask Allaah to grant you all goodness and accept it from you all aameen.

UPDATE: MONEY RAISED FOR PALESTINE

Jazakum'Allahu Khairan to everyone who donated to our brothers & sisters in Palestine. Alhamdulilaah the money was give to a sister who lives in Jordan and her family have donated the money to the families who were really suffering from hunger and lack of basic essentials.

Alhamdulilaah your money has gone a long way. I ask Allaah to bless you with immense reward.  Aameen

LET US NOT FORGET PALESTINE

Im currently raising money for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Their suffering isnt unknown to anyone and as winter approaches they are in need of help even more in shaa Allaah.

They are suffering from extreme weather conditions at the moment and as we all know many are losing their homes everyday.

Here in the UK we struggle with the weather conditions yet we have a roof over our heads, warm clothes and heating alhamdulilaah.  In Palestine the basic right to having a home is taken away from them on a daily basis.

Imagine the young children who have lost their homes and have to deal with the bitter cold and very little shelter. We have already seen what the weather has done to a child in Syria. Let's come together and stop anymore children dying in shaa Allaah

Our target is £2000 in shaa Allaah!

HELP US HELP THOSE IN NEED THIS WINTER!

Asalaamu'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuhu

Alhamdulilaah we have managed to raise £700 of our £3000 target for the food packages.

We still need to raise another £2300 in order to feed the 100 extremely poor families. Please dont think for a second that these families are not in dire need. By Allaah they are suffering from extreme poverty.Most of them are not even able to pay for medical treatment if they are sick. They struggle to feed their children and provide them with decent clothing.

A widow amomgst the villagers who is suffering along with her 4 children is one of the most extreme cases I have heard about subhanAllaah.  She has very little food to feed her young children and has to desperately find ways of making money in order to clothe and feed her kids. They go without basic essentials and sometimes even food.

By donating just £30 you can provide them with a food package that will get them through the cold winter In shaa Allaah. It will provide the kids who see their parents struggling to feed them, with food to eat.

For the sake of Allaah give whatever you can. We have it easy compared to them.  Alhamdulilaah we have a proper roof over our heads and good food to eat. While they struggle everyday just to gather enough food to feed themselves.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

Beware of stinginess, for those who came before you were destroyed because of stinginess. It commanded them to be miserly, so they were miserly; it commanded them to cut family ties, so they cut them; and it commanded them to be immoral, so they were immoral. 

[Reported by Abu Dawood, (2/324); Sahih al-Jami, (no. 2678]

When it comes to miserliness, the person whose eemaan is weak can hardly give anything for the sake of Allaah, even when there is an honest appeal and it is quite obvious that his brothers in Islaam are suffering the impact of poverty and are striken by disaster. There is no more eloquent statement on the matter of miserliness than the words of Allaah:

Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes.

[Muhammed 47:38]

Lets come together as an ummah and feed 100 families this winter.
